  This 113 page Lab Manual, give a narrative description of all 30 labs along with pictures and graphs.Also included for each lab are calculator activities, in-depth questions and an extensive index.
 
     
     
 
  The 20 page Answer Manual gives answers to the in-depth questions presented in the Lab Manual. Original questions are also presented.
   
   
 
  Three of these, clear plastic, 9oz (266ml) party cups are supplied in a kit.

 
     
   
   
 
  One cup of kidney beans. The cup size is 1 1/2 fl oz. In the labs, the beans are immersed in water. To preserve the life of the beans, remove from water as quickly as possible and dry.
 
     
     
 
  Two 1 1/2 fl oz cups of beach sand. It is recommended that the tape be used to secure the lids.
   
   
 
  One cup of lima beans. The cup size is 1 1/2 fl oz. In the labs, the beans are immersed in water. Dry immediately after use.
 
     
     
 
  One dual scale ruler (18in / 45.7cm). Color, style, and length may vary from that shown here.

  Magnifier, dual magnification (3X/6X), 19mm and 45mm lenses. Used for counting grains of sand and more accurate reading of the dual scale thermometer.
 
     
     
 
  Six each, 1/4" nuts are provided. These are used as weights and are to be hung on the protruding prong of the nut hanger (item # 17 above).
   
   
 
  Four each, 1/4" lock washers are provided. These are used as weights and are to be hung on the protruding prong of the nut hanger (item # 17 above).
 
     
     
 
  This miniature slinky spring has a 1 3/8" diameter. It's sensitivity is such that only one nut (Item #19) stretches it appreciably.
   
   
     
     
 
  Large clear plastic cup is large enough to accommodate the thermometer (item #24). In Lab 06 it is filled with ice. Capacity is 16.9oz, 2.1 cups, 500ml

   
   
 
  Dual scale thermometer-Fahrenheit & Celsius. Study construction helps prevent damage to the bulb and tube. Fahrenheit scale, 20-120, Celsius scale -30-50.

 
     
     
 
  This 25 ml graduated cylinder (simi-transparent plastic) is used in several labs in which the volume of either sand or water must be measured.
   
   
 
  This 250 ml graduated cylinder(simi-transparent plastic) is used in several labs in which the volume of water must be measured.
